Profiles Monika B. With my 20+ years of experience in the industry, I am more committed to advance training in order to expand my knowledge and stay with the trends. I've traveled to London for Vidal Sassoon's advanced training and New York for L'Oreal's color training as well as attending several seminars including American Crew, Aquage, Redken, Nioxin, Artec and AG. Both the technical and creative aspects of my job are really what drive me. What I really enjoy doing the most is creating a new look for a client using a variety of coloring and cutting techniques. Taking into account the personal style, face shape, careers and life style. It is very satisfying when clients walk out the door feeling great about themselves. I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, reading, skiing and exploring new things and places.

It's exciting that after 24 years there is still so much more to achieve. I have always loved the art of color and the new cuts to support the multi-dimensional fashions. Traditional color, perming and cutting will always be in fashion and I believe they brought me to where I am today. Trends and classics keep me inspired. I value the clients I have now and I look forward to the experience of serving new guests as well. I was fortunate to do platform work with Clairol. I have attended advanced education classes and have been able to travel out of state to attend seminars in cutting, coloring, new trends, motivation and customer service. I have helped with the education program with The Split End and attended many of their classes such as American Crew, Opti-Smooth, Nioxin, Redken, Pureology, A.G., Davines and L'Oreal Serie Expert. I once heard "when you know better you do better", education, education and pay attention to detail. I think you can use these words in all aspects of life. My family, my faith and my friends have been a true support and inspiration to me. I enjoy camping, river floating and trees. I am recently a grandmother for the first time and don't think life could be any better.
Dana B. I enjoy color services. That's what got me interested in the beauty industry. However I truly love the design and precision of hair cutting. I'm known for my attention to details and creating a lot of design in my work. There are so many techniques in our industry I would love to study them all and apply it to my work. I love cooking/making food! I'm always creating new recipes, going out and trying new restaurants. I love to have fun and be adventures and because I like to eat I like exercising. They go hand in hand. I have received multiple service awards including top service sales. I trained at Regina Celeste to be a color specialist and attend classes here at THE SPLIT END SALONS.
Holly K. I love doing all hair types. It's fun making people feel and look good about themselves and make new changes. I really enjoy color, foils, and perms. I have done advanced training with Big Sexy Hair, Joico, Nioxin and Paul Mitchell. I especially love being a mom of two little children and spending time with my family. I enjoy walking Greenlake or Alki, shopping with friends and my Mom and going to the movies.
Makelle M. I love doing dramatic changes with hair color and helping my clients feel like a brand new person. Some of the special training I have includes classes with L'Oreal, Nioxin, Davines and Pureology. I look forward to expanding my knowledge by attending annual trade shows and ongoing education classes. I enjoy skiing, snow boarding, soccer, going to the beach, and spending time with my friends and family.
Kelsey S. I enjoy creating an entirely new look with color/foils and cuts. It is very satisfying to make people feel good about themselves. I have received special training with Sexy Hair concepts and L'Oreal Balayage techniques. In my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my family and friends.
Carsyn M. I attended the Gene Juarez Advanced Training Academy where excellence in skill building and technical competency are intertwined into their program. Since graduation, I have participated in many L'Oreal color and product classes. I have a unique approach for creating shorter cuts and enjoy dramatic styles that showcase your individual look. I enjoy soccer and snowboarding.
Asia L. I love meeting new people and being part of the industry. I am passionate about my work and love seeing the outcome of each client. I attended Gene Juarez Academy. I enjoy going out-to-eat and trying new restaurants. Going to the movies, camping, traveling and shopping!!

In my spare time you may find me snowboarding, bowling, watching movies, or going to sporting events.
Erin P. I have attended many L'Oreal color classes as well as Paul Mitchell and Bed Head cutting classes. I absolutely love to do all over colors and foils. To see the final result is very rewarding and then adding a cute haircut to go with it is the best! I enjoy spending time with my family and dog.
Riley B. I attended an advanced training cosmetology school where I developed my skills and passion for color and texture. Additionally, I have participated in many hair shows and attended a runway show with Team Artistic. The Pacific Northwest has so many beautiful areas and I enjoy being near the water. I particularly find Camano Island to be a relaxing and inspirational getaway.
